PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE - 2024 GENERAL ELECTION
OKEECHOBEE COUNTY CANVASSING BOARD EVENTS

    Access to Ballot Material –

Those qualified to receive access to ballot materials pursuant to 101.572(2), Florida Statutes, may request an appointment during designated Public Inspection by email at Melissa@voteokeechobee.gov or by telephone at 863-763-4014. Requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance of requested access and must include specific materials to which the requestor would like access.

    *Notice is hereby given that meetings of the Okeechobee County Canvassing Board will be held on the following dates:

     October 8, 2024    
               9:30 a.m.               Logic and Accuracy Test
     October 18, 2024
               9:30-10:00 a.m.     Public Inspection of Mail (Absentee) Ballots received

In accordance with the Sunshine Law of Florida, all Canvassing Board meetings are open to the public.
Note:  Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, state that if a person decides to appeal any decision by the board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceeding, and that, for such purposes, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
